I realize this conflicts with the idea above that people also don't believe AIs in bodies are conscious. I think both are true -- there's a feeling that an embodied AI can't be conscious because it's not a human, but a disembodied AI might be conscious because people have disembodied interactions all the time so we can imagine it is human.
